Marvin Dixon is a comedian and event host from Miami, Florida, and a member of the Miami Carol City Senior High School class of 1985. He has worked in comedy as both a performer and a host since 1994.[1][2]
Early Life
Dixon was born in Evanston, Illinois, and was raised in Miami.[1] He graduated from Miami Carol City Senior High School in 1985.
Comedy Career
Dixon began performing and hosting comedy in 1994.[1] He built his early career in the South Florida comedy scene and went on to host and perform at shows around the country.
He tours a comedy showcase he brands as Fifty Shades of Comedy, which features comedians from across the United States.[3][4]
Dixon has hosted and performed at large stage shows and charity events, including Zo's Summer Groove, the Ray Lewis Foundation event known as Ray's Summer Days, and the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage.[1][2]
He also worked as a morning show host on a Miami radio station.[1][2]
Television and Film
Dixon has appeared on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo, and the Tom Joyner Sky Show.[1][2]
He appeared in the 2002 film Trois II: Pandora's Box.[1]
